Sustainability is just a buzzword to many businesses. But when your company’s mission is “to accelerate change by making sustainability accessible to all”, you really can boast that you’re great people doing valuable work for a better planet in the future.
B-Radical is teaming up with sustainable construction and regeneration specialists, KLH Sustainability, to help them recruit for a new Marketing & Operations Co-ordinator. Did we also mention that they're employee-owned B-Corp and donate 3% of their annual profits to charity?
The scale of projects and the type of clients they work with is diverse; 1,500 zero carbon homes on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, a circular economy strategy for one of the UK’s largest housing associations, the Earth’s favourite healthy drinks factory for Innocent Drinks, and a London development of ten zero waste, lifecycle carbon neutral homes. They're a small yet mighty team who are fortunate to work on large projects, where their impact is significant. For this reason, it's important that their new Marketing & Operations Co-ordinator is flexible in their approach, as roles and responsibilities extend beyond what might be considered ‘normal’ for a given job title.
This is a varied role, providing an opportunity for someone to be involved in broad range of back-office functions, with a vital part to play in the smooth running of the business.
The role will involve:
- Marketing: Creating and managing marketing content and engagement, including but not limited to tracking marketing performance, analysing data, and preparing reports on engagement. (Around 20% of your time)
- Finance & Operations: Supporting the Operations & Finance Manager with invoicing and project monitoring. (Around 20% of your time)
- Recruitment: Supporting recruitment processes, coordinating job postings, screening CV, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate communications, as well as the opportunity to lead on small internship programmes for a diverse range of people. (Around 15% of your time)
- HR: Onboarding new employees, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires, coordinating with relevant teams for setup, maintaining employee records, managing HR-related documentation, and assisting in policy and process implementation. (Around 25% of your time)
- Office Support/Management: Maintaining office supplies, coordinating diaries and preparing for visitors etc. (Around 20% of your time)
If you have experience in any (or all!) of the areas above, we’d love to hear from you, but the priority is to find someone with some marketing experience to plug the current skills gap that KLH has in their team. They’d love to draw on your marketing expertise to help steer our current social media and marketing efforts – and they can teach you the rest!
This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week working from our Hackey office, although we do offer three weeks remote working allowance per year where you can work from a beach… or a mountain… or a lake..., for all we care! The salary is £33,000 - £40,000 plus:
- 4% pension contribution based on a 5% personal contribution.
- Annual bonus opportunities related to company performance, in line with our Employee Ownership Trust status.
- Payment of up to two professional subscriptions.
- Up to 20 days a year for professional and personal growth including regular lunchtime CPDs and an internal mentoring programme.
- Nutritious communal lunch provided Monday through Thursday at the office to make sure people take a screen break and connect with others in the office. What KLH do
KLH considers diversity a critical factor in providing quality advice and solutions to their clients. If you don’t tick all the boxes listed above (yet!), but they speak to you and you can relate to KLH’s mission, we'd still love to hear from you.
As part of B-Radical’s commitment to eliminating pay gaps between different groups through our “No Salary History Policy”, we’ll never ask you for your current or previous salaries. We'll simply ask for your salary expectations to ensure they fall in line with the organisation’s budget for the role. Additionally, we pride ourselves on delivering an excellent candidate experience, so any applicant who applies to this advert will receive a response, regardless of the outcome.
To apply for this role, please send your CV to holly@b-radical.co.uk or apply through this advert. If you’d like to have a chat with us before you apply, please reach out to Holly directly, either via email or DM.
We look forward to hearing from you!
